Tom Amirault, CAIB
President
President and Owner Tom Amirault brings over 25 years of experience in marine industries. He is a Transport Canada Certified Marine Engineer and Master.Â
He completed his Canadian Accredited Insurance (CAIB) designation in 2014.

Amanda Crosbie, BSc, CAIB(Hons)
Vice President
Amanda joined Nesika in 2014.
Since graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology & Immunology from UBC, she has returned to working full-time in our office. She completed her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation in 2016 with honours and received the Ken Underhill award for being the top CAIB graduate in BC for 2017.

Andrew Crosbie
Commercial & Commercial Marine
Andrew joined the team at Nesika in December 2017.
Before making the move into insurance Andrew worked in the restaurant industry for ten years and was involved in cooking competitions and menu development. He also has extensive experience in the construction industry. After marrying into the Nesika family (Amanda is his wife) he decided that he’d like to be home more and it was time for a career change. He’s since burned all of his chef hats and high-vis vests and now focuses full time on insurance.
He is currently working on his CAIB and Certified Risk Manager designations.
Kim Wood
Commercial & Commercial Marine
Kim joined Nesika in April 2022.
Before making the career move into Insurance, Kim worked in the customer service industry for over 16 years.
She is currently a level one licensed broker
When she isn’t in the office, you will find Kim on the green trying to improve her golf game, traveling, or engaging is some sort of physical activity.

Mitchell Dornblut, BBA
Personal & Yacht
Mitchell Dornblut joined Nesika Insurance Services Inc. Inc in October 2020.
He recently moved back to BC in 2020 after spending the last 10 years living in Alberta and The U.S.
In 2016 he graduated from The University Of Arkansas At Monticello with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree, where he played baseball.
He is currently a level two licensed broker and is working on completing his CAIB designation.
In his spare time Mitchell likes to try stay active by going on hikes, golfing and playing softball.

Ashleigh Kordyban, CAIB
Account Manager
Ashleigh Kordyban joined Nesika Insurance Services Inc. Inc in 2012 as an intern following graduating from an Office Administrator with Technology course at BC Institute of Technology.
After completing the insurance licensing program she was hired as an Insurance broker and Executive Assistant to Tom Amirault, President of the BC branch. She completed her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation in 2015.
Ashleigh likes to spend her down time exploring new recipes to test out on friends, travelling, and golf.

Tara Esson
Account Manager
Tara joined the team in the Steveston Office in February 2022. She brings with her over 17 years of customer service, administrative and bookkeeping experience.Â
Tara is currently a level one general insurance agent. She is working toward completing her CAIB II and III.
As a local Steveston girl, she loves that she can walk to work and be home for her son after school.

Marty Therkelsen
Wealth Protection Specialist
With over 20 years of experience in the life insurance industry Marty has a wealth of knowledge dealing with individuals and business owners.
He has worked both as an independent advisor as well as for a major financial institution.
Marty specializes in working with busines owners to protect and help grow their companies.
ADMINISTRATIVE Team
Lori Dornblut
Office Manager
As part owner Nesika Lori has worked always behind the scenes to support the business. In 2019 she took on more of an administrative role. She brings over 30 years of admin and  customer service experience to this position.Â
Gina McKay
Administrative Support & marketing
As a commercial fishermen for over 20 years and with another 20 years of marketing and project management experience, Gina has enjoyed working with Tom and Nesika on different projects over the years.Â
She created and implemented the nationally successful Fish Safe program (2002-2015) and in 2012 received the National Transport Canada Marine Safety Award for her “exceptionally high level of performance in the interest of Canadian Marine Safety and for the development of the Fish Safe Program”.
In June 2021 she became a licenced agent to assist the Nesika team on processes and marketing.Â
